Why:
This Gala benefits the Southern Gateway Chorus. Southern Gateway is a key part of Cincinnati's vibrant Arts community. By supporting Southern Gateway, you enable us to continue to:
- Perpetuate one of the true American original forms of music.
- Spread joy throughout southwestern Ohio and beyond, through our unique music and entertainment. Our chorus, its smaller subsets and quartets perform more than 20 times each year, often at no cost to the audience.
- Support the Greater Cincinnati Harmony Festival, a camp where local boys and girls learn singing and performance skills. In the last three years, we have raised more than $35,000 for this great cause. Chorus members also organize and staff the camp.
- Support music education in our schools. We provide gratis performances to area schools, which help them to publicize and fund their own music programs.
- Provide free "Learn to Sing Better" lessons for men of all ages.

Southern Gateway Chorus, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, is a group of male singers spanning ages 9 to 86, from all walks of life (student, plumber, lawyer, CEO, etc.). We believe passionately that music can change lives and that our work enriches our community. To financially support our activities, the world-class coaches we use, the music we purchase, etc. we are holding the Gateway Gala.
